Description

Several sapogenin esters have recently been isolated from the skin of the toad Bufo vulgaris forrnosus. This base has a specific rotation of [α]_D¹⁴⁵ - 14.9° (c 0.13, CHC13). When crystallized from Et20 it forms clusters of colourless needles.
