Uses

PBTCA·Na4 is the most widely used compound in high-efficiency scale and corrosion inhibitor formulations, and is one of the best performing products. It is also an excellent stabilizer for zinc salts. PBTCA·Na4 is widely used in circulating cooling water systems and oilfield water injection systems for corrosion and scale inhibition. It is particularly suitable for compounding with zinc salts and copolymers, and can be used in high-temperature, high-hardness, high-alkali, and high-concentration applications. In the detergent industry, it is used as a chelating agent and metal cleaner.
