Uses

Cell permeable, sensitive indicator of peroxynitrite formation. After hydrolysis of the diacetate groups by cytosolic esterases or base-catalyzed cleavage of the diacetate groups, DCDHF is oxidized by peroxynitrite yielding the highly fluorescent product

Uses

2′,7′-Dichlorofluorescein diacetate may be used as a superior gas phase alternative to underivatized fluorescein and as a component/substrate of the 2′,7′-dichlorofluorescein diacetate assay to quantitate reactive oxygen species (ROS).
