Dill Seed Oil Usage And Synthesis
Application
Dill seed oil is used in various food and beverage additives and is popular in Europe, America, and Southeast Asia. It also has effects such as warming the stomach and spleen, aiding digestion and relieving abdominal pain, increasing appetite, promoting breast milk production, and treating halitosis. An example of its application is as follows:
An antibacterial and deodorizing polypropylene fiber and its preparation method, composed of the following components in parts by weight: 40-50 parts polypropylene chips, 3-5 parts polyacrylic acid composite, 3-5 parts polyacrylonitrile fiber, 3-5 parts sea mud powder, 2-4 parts Polygonum villosa extract, 3-5 parts propylene, 1-5 parts initiator, 5-7 parts Hibiscus syriacus leaf extract, 8-10 parts hydroxytyrosol, 1-5 parts coupling agent, 3-5 parts tea saponin, 4-6 parts dill seed oil, and 16-18 parts bamboo fiber. The preparation method comprises the following steps:
Step 1: Prepare the above materials according to the specified proportions;
Step 2: Weigh the specified amount and add it to the reaction vessel, then add 0.1 to 0.5 times the weight of dill seed oil in heptyl octanoate, heat to 80℃, and stir for 30 minutes to obtain a premix;
Step 3: Continue to stir and mix the premix from Step 2 until it is evenly mixed, then add it to a twin-screw extruder for co-granulation to obtain composite chips. After drying, the composite chips are spun using a conventional melt spinning method to obtain the aforementioned natural antibacterial and deodorizing polypropylene fiber.
Chemical Properties
The volatile oil is obtained by steam distillation from the crushed mature fruit of Anthemum sowa (Indian type). It has a harsh caraway-like odor and flavor. This oil differs in its physical properties, odor and flavor from the European and American dill seed oil.
Physical properties
It is a yellow to light-brown liquid, soluble in most fixed oils and mineral oil, occasionally with slight opalescence. It is sparingly soluble in propylene glycol and practically insoluble in glycerin.
