Synthesis

3-Amino-4-methoxybenzaldehyde was synthesized by reduction of nitro compounds using 4-methoxy-3-nitrobenzaldehyde as starting material. This was carried out with reference to the method described in Tetrahedron Letters, 1993, 34(46), 7445-7446.
