First Aid Measures

Ingestion

Do NOT induce vomiting. If conscious and alert, rinse mouth and drink 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.

Inhalation

Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid.

Skin

Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.

Eyes

Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.

Hazards Identification

Inhalation

Causes respiratory tract irritation. May be harmful if inhaled. May cause nausea, dizziness, and headache.

Skin

Causes mild skin irritation. May be harmful if absorbed through the skin.

Eyes

Causes mild eye irritation.

Ingestion

May cause irritation of the digestive tract. May be harmful if swallowed.

Hazards

Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Vapors may travel to source of ignition and flash back. Most vapors are heavier than air. They will spread along ground and collect in low or confined areas (sewers, basements, tanks). Vapor explosion hazard indoors, outdoors or in sewers.

Fire Fighting Measures

Flash Point

8

Fire Fighting

Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Will burn if involved in a fire. Use water spray to keep fire-exposed containers cool. To extinguish fire use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam.

Fire Potential

HIGHLY FLAMMABLE: Will be easily ignited by heat, sparks or flames.
