Pharmaceuticals, reducing agent in electrodeless nickel plating of plastics and metals, lab reagent, substitute for sodium nitrite in smoked meats.

Clean up personnel should wear full protective clothing - if material exposed to elevated temperatures also wear repsiratory protection. Collect spilled material into suitable labelled containers and hold for later disposal.

Keep away from oxidizing agents, magnesium, aluminum, acid halides, acid anhydrides, phosphorus halides, thionyl chlorides and carbonates.
