Soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from Ginkgo biloba.

Uses

Bilobetin have the functions of lowering blood lipids and expectorating phlegm.

ChEBI: Bilobetin is a flavonoid oligomer.

Biological Activity

Bilobetin is a Ginkgo biloba active ingredient that lowers blood lipids and improves insulin action. Bilobetin can improve insulin resistance, increase liver absorption and oxidation of lipids, reduce very low-density lipoprotein triglyceride secretion and blood triglyceride levels, enhance the expression and activity of β-oxidative enzymes in tissues, and attenuate triglycerides Accumulation of esters and their metabolites.
