Description

Dipeptide-2 is a tiny peptide with only two amino acids (amino acids are the building block of proteins, and peptides are a few amino acids attached together), Valine and Tryptophan. It's part of a 3 actives complex called Eyeliss (with HMC and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7) that's supposed to fight under-eye bags.
The manufacturer claims that this dipeptide in Eyeliss can increase lymphatic circulation and the three actives together represent a "global approach to treating puffy eyes". The clinical study of the manufacturer with 20 people and 3% Eyeliss showed improvement after 56 days for 70% of the participants.

H-VAL-TRP-OH is a white or off-white lyophilized powder.

Uses

Dipeptide 2 (N-Valyltryptophan; Val-Trp) is a bioactive peptide with anti-aging effect and has been reported used as a cosmetic ingredient[1]. Dipeptide 2 is an angiotensin-converting Enzyme (ACE)[2].

Mode of action

Dipeptide-2 is a potent angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, which reduces vasoconstriction of blood vessels around the eyes by inhibiting ACE activity and promotes blood circulation, thus improving periorbital edema and reducing dark circles.
