24-Methylenecycloartan-3-ol (CAS# 1449-09-8) is a cyclized intermediate from 2,3-oxidosqualene to the steroid skeleton along the biosynthetic pathway of the phytosterols. It also has a chemotherapeutic importance, such as for antihyperlipemia.

It is isolated from several plant species including Euphorbia, Epidendrum, Psychotria and Sideritis. It has a role as a plant metabolite. It is a pentacyclic triterpenoid and a 3beta-hydroxy steroid. It derives from a hydride of a cycloartane.
