Chemical Properties

White crystalline powder, soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, and DMSO, derived from Rhodiola rosea.

Uses

Rhodiosin is a flavonol glycoside found in Rhodiola rosea L. with biological activity, and is found in Lishukang capsules, a traditional Chinese medicine. Rhodiosin induces apoptosis in human ovarian cancer OVCAR-?3 cells by activating caspases and Bcl-?2 family proteins.

in vivo

Rhodiosin (100 mg/kg, Oral gavage (p.o.), once a day for 10 days) can reduce MDA content in irradiated C57BL mice models and reduce liver damage induced by radiation^[4].

Dosage:	100 mg/kg, once a day for 10 days
Administration:	Oral gavage (p.o.)
Result:	Reduced MDA content in the liver induced by irradiation.
