Description
Isoderrone is a protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) inhibitor, with IC50 value of 27 ± 7 uM, suggests that it may be a new drug for treatment of type 2 diabetes. Isoderrone shows inhibitory effects on α-glucosidase in vitro.
Uses
Isoderrone is a new isoflavone isolated from the methanol extractives from white lupin (cv. Kievskij Mutant) roots[1].

ChEBI: Isoderrone is a hydroxyisoflavone that is isoflavone substituted by hydroxy groups at positions 5 and 7 and a 6,6-dimethyl-3,6-dihydro-2H-pyran across positions 3' and 4' respectively. It has been isolated from Ficus mucuso. It has a role as a plant metabolite. It is functionally related to an isoflavone.
