Procaterol hydrochloride can be used as short-acting β2-adrenergic receptor agonist used to treat asthma.

in vivo

Procaterol hydrochloride hemihydrate (1, 3 or 10 μg/mL, inhaled administration) inhibits histamine-induced airflow obstruction and microvascular leakage in guinea-pig airways with allergic inflammation[2].
Procaterol hydrochloride hemihydrate (0.1 mg/kg, i.p.) completely abolishes both the Mch-induced cough in conscious guinea pigs[3].

Animal Model:Allergic inflammatory guinea-pig model[2]
Dosage:1, 3 or 10 μg/mL
Administration:Inhaled administration
