Uses
(Rac)-Byakangelicin (Standard) is the analytical standard of (Rac)-Byakangelicin. This product is intended for research and analytical applications. (Rac)-Byakangelicin is a racemate of Byakangelicin mainly isolated from the genus Angelica. Byakangelicin is an aldose-reductase inhibitor with an IC50 value of 6.2 μM.

Synthesis
A method for the preparation of Angelica dahurica sinensis which is favorable for mass production operation and high product purity. The following technical scheme is used: take the crude powder of Angelica dahurica root, add it to CO2 supercritical extractor, methanol as entraining agent, the volume percentage of entraining agent in the total extraction solvent is 2-6%, the extraction pressure is 10-40MPa, the temperature is 30-60 , the flow rate of CO2 is 1-5 ml/g of raw material/min, the extraction time is 150-250min, get the extract, heat the water to extract and textile. Dialysis of crystals, separation of crystals, add anhydrous ethanol recrystallization, separation, washing, drying that is obtained.
