Description

Adenosine 5'-monophosphate disodium salt is a modified phosphoramidite used for the synthesis of deoxyribonucleosides and nucleosides. Adenosine 5'-monophosphate disodium salt is an activator of a class of protein kinases known as AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). It may be used as a substrate by a variety of enzymes such as AMP-thymidine kinase, AMP deaminase and 5?-nucleotidase.

Uses

Adenosine-5'-monophosphate disodium salt is a nucleotide involved in the reactions of cellular energy transfers. It is useful for skin rejuvenation in dermatology and aesthetic dermatology. It acts as an activator of a class of protein kinases called as AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). Further, it is used as a substrate for enzymes such as AMP-thymidine kinase, AMP deaminase and 5'-nucleotidase.

Uses

Adenosine 5'-monophosphate disodium salt is useful for skin rejuvenation in dermatology and aesthetic dermatology.

Biological Functions

Research indicates that an emulsion containing 3% Adenosine 5'-monophosphate disodium salt (AMP-NA2) safely accelerates human stratum corneum renewal. AMP-Na₂ exhibits dual characteristics in the proliferation of primary cultured keratinocytes: inducing cell growth at low concentrations whilst inhibiting it at high concentrations. It further promotes cell cycle progression in the basal layer of hairless rat epidermis. Research suggests topical AMP-Na₂ achieves mild penetration into the epidermal basal layer, where its low-concentration environment facilitates cell cycle advancement.

General Description

Adenosine 5'-monophosphate disodium salt(AMP-2Na) is an orally active purine nucleotide, and participates in ATP metabolism. AMP-2Na is also a ligand for adenosine 2B receptor. AMP-2Na can activate AMPK in skeletal muscle, and ameliorates insulin resistance and impaired glucose metabolism. AMP-2Na can be used for research of diabetes.
