Uses
Pterodontic acid is an eudesmane sesquiterpene that can be isolated from Laggera pterodonta[1].
Synthesis
A process of extracting Pterodontic acid from Laggerapterodonta, the steps include: drying odorant dan root to less than 13% water content, taking 1kg crushed to 40 mesh, to get odorant dan powder, 5% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution of 6L leaching at room temperature for 12 hours, filtering to get the leaching solution, adding 2% acetic acid acid acidification to pH 2, to get the precipitate; collection of precipitates, precipitates with chloroform extraction for 3 times, rotary evaporation of chloroform layer Concentrate the chloroform layer under reduced pressure to 1/20 of the extraction volume, add the macroporous resin into powder, and then column chromatography on a macroporous adsorption resin column, eluted with a mixed eluent of ethyl acetate and methanol in the ratio of 3:1 by volume; collect the stream fraction enriched with ozonolindanic acid, concentrate it and then add the macroporous resin to mix the samples on the column, and then carry out the gradient elution with the mixed solvent of petroleum ether-ethyl acetate in the ratios of 6:1, 3:1, and 1:1 by volume. The product was further dissolved with a small amount of acetone and recrystallized to obtain colorless crystals with a purity of 98.7%.
