Description

Alcesefoliside is a flavonoid isolated from natural product Nitraria sibirica Pall, Prunus mume, and Monteverdia ilicifolia, with antioxidant activity.

Occurrence

The roots and leaves of P. vulgaris can be used as medicine, with the effect of activating blood circulation and resolving fetishes, clearing heat and detoxifying toxins, clearing damp-heat and removing the fetish toxins caused by damp-heat.
In recent years, certain progress has been made in the study of Pendula spp. So far, the types of compounds isolated are mainly terpenoids, flavonoids and sterols, volatile oils, fatty acids, aromatic acids, phenolic acids, astragalus and tannins, etc. Among them, triterpenoids, i.e. crude leaf pendula glycosides, are very commonly distributed in Pendula spp.
