Chemical Properties
Soluble in hot ethanol and chloroform, slightly soluble in ether, and insoluble in water. It comes from the root of Dictamnus dasycarpus Turcz., a plant of the Rutaceae family.

Dictamine (2 μg/mL, 200 μL, applied once daily, for 14 days) reduces skin inflammation and skin swellingin Oxazolone (HY-126360)-induced atopic dermatitis mice model[2].
Dictamine (50 and 100 mg/kg, p.o., three times a week) inhibits tumor growth in a HCT116 xenograft tumor model[3].
Dictamine (1 and 5 mg/kg, 200 μL, applied to the skin) ameliorates chronic itch in 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene-induced atopic dermatitis mice[4].
