Linustatin is a cyanogenic glycoside , present in linseed , that serves to protect animals against selenium toxicity. Cyanogenic glucosides are used as nitrogen-??containing precursors for the synthesis of amino acids, proteins and amines. Cyanogenic glucosides are plant growth regulators.
