Properties and Applications
dark red light brown. Soluble in water for yellow red, soluble in Cellosolve, slightly soluble in ethanol and Acetone, insoluble in other organic solvent. In concentrated sulfuric acid for brilliant red, dilution after small change; In concentrated nitric acid for amber solution; In a dilute sodium hydroxide solution for red brown solution.
