Uses

Methyl indole-5-carboxylate may be used as a reactant in the following processes: biosynthesis of inhibitors of protein kinases metal-free Friedel-Crafts alkylation preparation of diphenylsulfonium ylides from Martin′s sulfurane.

Synthesis
