Uses

Dichlorodicarbonylbis(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium exhibits good catalytic performance in the addition reaction of aromatic ketone carbonyl groups with olefin molecules, and can be widely used as a noble metal catalyst in organic synthesis reactions.

Synthesis

A certain amount of triphenylphosphine was weighed and added to a 100mL three-necked flask having a quantitative anhydrous ethanol solution, stirred, and heated to boiling, then a certain amount of ruthenium trichloride trihydrate, formaldehyde solution, and potassium hydroxide were added to the three-necked flask in rapid succession. The reaction was heated to reflux (precipitates were produced during the reaction), the reaction was stopped after a period of time, naturally cooled to room temperature and filtered. The filter cake was washed with 95% ethanol, deionized water, 95% ethanol and petroleum ether in sequence, and the precipitate was dried to constant weight to obtain the crude product of dichlorodicarbonylbis(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium, weighed, and the product yield was calculated.
