Biological Activity

Groenlandicine is a protoberberine alkaloid isolated from Coptis chinensis. It has moderate inhibitory effect on human recombinant aldose reductase (HRAR) with IC50 value of 154.2 μM. And Groenlandicine can induces topoisomerase I (topoisomerase I)-mediated DNA cleavage.
