Diminazene Usage And Synthesis
Application
Diminazene is a traditionally used broad-spectrum antiprotozoan drug, effective against trypanosomes, giardians, and anaplasma. It achieves high blood concentrations after administration, but the duration of action is short, thus it is primarily used for treatment, with poor preventative efficacy. This drug selectively blocks the DNA synthesis or replication of the trypanosome's kinematic matrix and irreversibly binds to the nucleus, thereby eliminating the trypanosome's kinematic matrix and preventing it from dividing and reproducing. It is mainly used for trypanosome diseases caused by trypanosomes, such as Trypanosomiasis and equine swine fever. In addition, it has therapeutic effects on babesiosis and Theileria diseases in livestock caused by giardians, but its preventative effect against most giardiasis is poor. When the dosage is insufficient, both giardians and trypanosomes can develop resistance.
Definition
