Preparation
The dye is six methyl pararosaniline hydrochloride with four and five of benzyl methyl pararosaniline hydrochloride mixture, hexamethyl pararosaniline hydrochloride is made up of 1-(Chloromethyl)benzene?and methyl violet (C.I.Basic Violet 1,C.I.42525) of alkali solution of ethanol.
Properties and Applications
bright purple. Soluble in water and ethanol for blue purple. The strong sulfuric acid for yellow, diluted for purple. The dye solution to join sodium hydroxide have palm red precipitate.
