Pegosperse(R) 400 MO is a mid-range HLB, surface active agent suggested for use in animal feed (emulsifier), cosmetics (emulsifier), textile chemicals (emulsifier, lubricant, softener, scouring agent), coatings (emulsifier) and industrial degreasers.
Synthesis
Put 300.0g of oleic acid and 1.68g of catalyst (composed of tetramethyl ammonium chloride and CoO, the mass ratio of tetramethyl ammonium chloride to CoO was 1:0.25) into a 2L reactor with stirring, electric heating jacket and internal water-cooling coil, and seal the reactor.
