Pale yellow powder, soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, and DMSO. It comes from the dried roots and rhizomes of Rheum palmatum and Polygonum multiflorum of the Polygonaceae family.
Uses
Emodin 1-β-D-Glucoside is an impurity formed in the synthesis of glucoside metabolites of Emodin (E523000).
