Acid Black 2 Usage And Synthesis
Chemical Properties
black crystals or powder
Uses
It is employed as a common biological stain for tissues and cells. Used to make inks and shoe-polish and for dyeing leather, wood, textiles, and plastics. The crude mixture of nigrosine hydrochlorides (Phenol Black L) is used to dye phenolic resins. Bases are used to make printing colors and to dye plastics. It finds its use in Dorner?s spore stain, as a negative stain in place of India ink for spirochetes, bacteria, protozoa and fungi. It is also used in compounding resins include phenolic resins, styrenics, polyamides and urea resins.
Definition
ChEBI: Amido Black 10B is an organic sodium salt resulting from the formal condensation of Amido Black 10B (acid form) with two equivalents of sodium hydroxide. It has a role as a histological dye. It contains a 4-amino-5-hydroxy-3-[(p-nitrophenyl)azo]-6-(phenylazo)-naphthalene-2,7-disulfonate.
Preparation
will all grades of alcohol solution aniline Black (C.I.Solvent Black 5, C.I. 50415) stlfonation, again into their products for all kinds of sodium salt.
Properties and Applications
black. Black with flash in the granular, a violet is soluble in water, soluble in ethanol is blue. The strong sulfuric acid dyes is blue, it will be diluted and the generated purple precipitation. Blue light purple in aqueous solution, and sodium hydroxide show dark purple precipitation. Mainly used for leather dyeing. Also applies to paper, wood, soap, electrical-controlled aluminum, wool and silk dyeing of content, but also can be used in the manufacture of ink.
