[cPP1-7,NPY19-23,Ala31,Aib32,Gln34]-hPancreatic Polypeptide is a potent and selective neuropeptide Y Y5 receptor agonist with an IC50 of 0.24 nM for binding to the hY5 receptor. [cPP1-7,NPY19-23,Ala31,Aib32,Gln34]-hPancreatic Polypeptide induces a high amount of food intake[1].

Biological Activity

cPP1-7,NPY19-23,Ala31,Aib32,Gln34 is a potent and selective neuropeptide YY5 receptor agonist with IC50 of 0.24 nM for hY5 receptor binding. It increases dietary intake.

in vitro

cPP1-7,NPY19-23,Ala31,Aib32,Gln34 has IC 50 s of 530 nM, >500 nM , 51 nM for binding to the hY 1 , hY 4 , hY 2 receptors.

in vivo

cPP1-7,NPY19-23,Ala31,Aib32,Gln34 induces a high amount of food intake in a dose-dependent manner in adult male rats weighing 340-400 g.
