Sinapine thiocyanate Usage And Synthesis

Description

Sinapine thiocyanate is the thiocyanate salt form of Sinapine. It is an alkaloid isolated from seeds of the cruciferous species. Sinapine thiocyanate exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-tumor, anti-angiogenic and radio-protective effects. It is also an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor and can be used for the research of Alzheimer's disease, ataxia, myasthenia gravis, and Parkinson's disease.

White crystalline powder, soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, and DMSO, derived from rapeseed seeds, radish seeds, and white mustard seeds.

Uses

Sinapine Thiocyanate, is a derivative of Sinapine, an alkaloidal amine found in black mustard seeds. It is the choline ester of Sinapic Acid.It is also a phenolic-chloine conjugates, acting as anti-oxidants and acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, that can be used for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD).
