Triallyl trimellitate Usage And Synthesis

Description

Triallyl trimellitate (TATM or benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylate), a pale yellow liquid, can be used as a highly effective crosslinker due to its three allyl groups.

Chemical Properties

Triallyl trimellitate is a pale yellow liquid, it is soluble in alcohol, ether; insoluble in water.

Preparation

Triallyl trimellitate is prepared by the reaction of trimellitic anhydride and allyl alcohol under a sulfuric acid catalyst.

Hazard

Triallyl trimellitate is harmful if swallowed, it causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation,it May also cause respiratory irritation.
