Uses

Pirarubicin Hydrochloride is an anthracycline antibiotics, acts as a topoisomerase II inhibitor, and is a widely used for treatment of various cancers, in particular, solid tumors.

in vivo

In acute cardiotoxic rats, Pirarubicin (18 mg/kg, iv) significantly increased the serum levels of BNP, CK-MB, CTnT, LDH, and MDA compared with the control group. In the acute cardiotoxic model, Pirarubicin Hydrochloride also reduced heart rate, decreased R wave voltage, and prolonged QT interval^[4].
