Siguazodan is a selective phosphodiesterase PDE III inhibitor and a potent inotropic agent.

ChEBI: 1-cyano-2-methyl-3-[4-(4-methyl-6-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyridazin-3-yl)phenyl]guanidine is a pyridazinone.

Biological Activity

Phosphodiesterase inhibitor, selective for PDE3 (IC 50 = 117 nM).

in vivo

Siguazodan is a potent, selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase III that has positive inotropic and vasodilating actions in various laboratory animals and is orally active with a long duration of action in conscious dogs[2].
