Biological Activity
MKC3946 is a soluble inhibitor of the IRE1α endoribonuclease domain, causing moderate growth inhibition in multiple myeloma cell lines without toxic effects on normal monocytes.
in vivo
In an in vivo model of endoplasmic reticulum stress, MKC-3946 inhibits cleavage of XBP1 and significantly inhibits myeloma cell growth.
