Chemical Properties

White crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, from biological fermentation. Parishin B is a Parishin derivative isolated from Aspalathus, which is the main active ingredient of Aspalathus. The molecular formula of Parishin B is C32H40O19, molecular weight is 728.6486, white crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents.

Uses

Parishin is a phenolic glucoside isolated from Gastrodia elata. Parishin exhibits antiaging effects and extends the lifespan of yeast via regulation of Sir2/Uth1/TOR signaling pathway[1].
