3-ETHOXY-N,N-DIETHYLANILINE Usage And Synthesis

Uses

3-Ethoxy-N,N-diethylbenzenamine is also used in the synthesis of monoazo disperse dyes used on synthetic fibers.

Synthesis

(1) Add 0.1 mol of m-aminophenol, 0.4 mol of liquid chloroethane and 120 ml of ethanol as a solvent to a 500 ml stainless steel autoclave, and slowly raise the temperature to 150??C under stirring conditions, at a pressure of 2.2 Mpa, and stir the reaction at a constant temperature for 3 h. After the reaction, stop the reaction; the rate of temperature increase was 2??C/min to 5??C/min;

(2) After the reaction was completed, the reaction solution obtained from step (1) was distilled to 10-20 KPa under reduced pressure to remove the solvent ethanol, and the product was obtained, which was detected as m-ethoxy-N,N-diethylaniline 19.5 g with 98% purity and 99% yield.
