Description

Azido-PEG5-NHS ester is a click chemistry PEG reagent. The azide (N3) group can react with alkyne, such as BCN, DBCO via Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. The NHS ester can be used to label the primary amines (-NH2) of proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.

Uses

Azido-PEG5-NHS ester is a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Azido-PEG5-NHS ester is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
