Uses

Rare Earth Fluorides are a class of compounds consisting of fluoride ions (F-) and rare earth elements. Rare earth elements belong to the lanthanide family of elements in the periodic table, which includes elements ranging from lanthanum (La) to lutetium (Lu), as well as the closely related element yttrium (Y). Rare Earth Fluorides plays an important role in phosphors for displays, lasers, and catalysts, as well as in the production of nuclear fuel.
