Azido-PEG4-alpha-D- mannose Usage And Synthesis
Description
Azido-PEG4-alpha-D-glucose is a PEG linker containing azide group and D-glucose moieties. The azide group enables copper-catalyzed Click Chemistry reactions with alkynes, DBCO and BCN. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. D-glucose increases solubility in aqueous media and increases the selectivity of the PEGylation reaction.
Uses
Azido-PEG4-alpha-D-mannose is a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Azido-PEG4-alpha-D-mannose is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
