5-Carboxy-fluorescein Diacetate N-Succinimidyl Ester is a fluorescein tracer for cell labeling. It was used as a reactant in the bioorthogonal imaging of Aurora Kinase A in live cells.

Uses

5-CFDA N-succinimidyl ester is membrane-permeant and can be loaded into cells via incubation. Once inside the cells, 5-CFDA is hydrolyzed by intracellular esterases to 5-carboxyfluorescein. It has been used for labeling human intervertebral disk cells in vitro for fluorescen
