Uses

4-bromo-7-chloro-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-c]pyridine inhibits HIV replication in vitro and has shown to be active against both wild type and drug resistant strains of HIV. It also has potential for use as a prophylaxis agent.

Biological Activity

4-Bromo-7-chloro-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-c]pyridine is an azaindole with antiviral activity against HIV. It have been shown to be potent inhibitors of the HIV protease enzyme.
