5-Amino-2-fluorobenzoic acid is a benzoic acid derivative with fluorine and amino substituents at positions 2 and 5, respectively, and is mainly used as an organic synthetic raw material or pharmaceutical intermediate. It is used in the preparation of flumazenil, a benzodiazepine antagonist, which is used clinically as a reversal agent for benzodiazepine overdose and for post-operative sedation of benzodiazepine anaesthetics.
