Bisindolylmaleimide VII is a potent inhibitor of calmodulin with high affinity for calmodulin (Kd=186.2 nM). Bisindolylmaleimide VII is used to study the role of calmodulin in cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and muscle dysfunction[1].
